These photographs are outtakes from a Vogue feature in March 1960, entitled ‘Fashion: Paris Light-Struck’. The article described the new pastel fashions of Paris, showcasing Dior amongst a collection of other designers using ‘delicious pale colours’. The article describes Dior designs as being ‘so simple the cut must be masterful’. The model wears a beehive hat, a smock blouse and a loose skirt. The model behind wears a rounded seven-eighths length coat in dark blue wool, worn over a soft lavender wool dress with a helmet of straw.
